Does anyone else think of your connection to ideas & writing as a romance? A romance with Self perhaps? And with all of life? And with language itself?
I absolutely love this post and the idea of starting a romance with my ideas and allowing my words to showcase that budding love. What a fun way to visualize and personalize the writing process. ❤️
This is priceless!! it reminds me of how Elizabeth Gilbert describes ideas as searching for someone who will help bring them into the world. I have several ideas floating around right now and I think I shall plan dates with them and see which one I fall in love with! Thank you so much for these beautiful words!
This is such a sweet, whimsical way to play with ideas. Take them out for coffee or a date. Now I'll look at that quiet writer typing away in the cafe corner in a whole new light.
And you've fired up my imagination for all the places I can sit and scribble with my notebook and reframe it as a romantic getaway.
Thanks again, Jeanette. Yes, I do like to be whimsical, when the topic is right for it. I usually take notebook rather than laptop when I write away from home. Reframing what we do can make all the difference.

Thanks Amy. I'm sure the 'right one' will reveal itself. Love and playfulness makes writing so much more fun I think. 💜
